题目:On Poisson Vector Graphics: Authoring, Vectorization and Extension
摘要:Poisson vector graphics (PVG) is a new type of vector graphics with 4 salient features: 1) explicit separation of hue and tone, which greatly facilitates hue and tone editing; 2) more degrees of freedom (than the conventional diffusion curve images) to simulate photo-realistic rendering; 3) allowing (self-)intersecting primitives; and 4) native support seamless cloning with transparent or opaque background. In this talk, I demonstrate PVG as an intuitive and effective authoring tool through extensive examples. I also discuss the vectorization technique, which converts a natural image into editable Poisson vector graphics. Finally, I will talk about extending PVG from 2D Euclidean domains to 3D surfaces.
报告人简介:贺英,新加坡南洋理工大学计算机科学和工程系副教授。2004年和2006年在美国纽约州立大学石溪分校获得计算机科学硕士和博士学位。擅长将微分几何、共形几何、拓扑学等数学领域的最新研究成果转化为计算机的算法和技术。在本领域顶级国际期刊和会议发表论文70多篇。在参数化,线绘制,离散测地线、测地Voronoi图、流形上的Delaunay结构、动态几何压缩,泊松矢量图等方面取得了重要研究进展。
